I’m Fiona, AKA Fi, the english one, the bassist, backing vocalist and apparently the one who drags out the last word of every sentence when speaking!  (according to Gary, chic and Owen anyway!)

Grew up in Croydon, Surrey. Didn’t take up music seriously until the age of 12 when I started learning the keyboard followed by the flute a year later. It was not until I took up the guitar at age 14, that I realized I had a real passion for songwriting. 

Left home at 18, moved up to Perth to study music performance.  Joined the college samba percussion band ‘Rhythm Wave’ of which Alyson and Colin were part of and performed in two Glastonbury Festivals with the band, which was absolutely brilliant! During my time in Perth I got even more into songwriting and started entering song contests.  One of which included the ‘The UK Songwriting Contest 2005’, which I was a finalist in with the song ‘Better Off This Way’. 

It was not until my final year of my degree that I started learning the bass guitar . . . . and in June 2005 Gary, Colin, Alyson and I formed something that we cannot help but be extremely excited about ……… it took us the best part of 4 months to decide on a name but finally we agreed on something! ………… Ladies and Gentlemen……….we give u……. ROCKETFOX …….
